Partnership earns approval from the North Carolina Auctioneer Licensing Board to deliver the state’s required pre-licensing auctioneer education
FUQUAY-VARINA, N.C. — September 14, 2026 — Central Carolina Community College (CCCC) and Auction Academy of North Carolina today announced that their joint auctioneer education program has been officially approved by the North Carolina Auctioneer Licensing Board (NCALB) as an approved auction school, authorized to deliver the state’s required pre-licensing curriculum for aspiring auctioneers.
The approval allows the partnership to offer a 96-hour, 12-week pre-licensing course designed to prepare students for North Carolina’s auctioneer licensing examination, combining classroom instruction with practical, real-world training in auction law, ethics, marketing, and sales technique.
“This approval represents months of curriculum development and close collaboration to build a program that truly serves the next generation of North Carolina auctioneers,” said Matthew Price, Managing Instructor and Program Director of Auction Academy of North Carolina. “We set out to create an educational experience that combines rigorous, practical instruction with the credibility and resources of a respected community college partner — and this approval confirms we’ve built something the auction profession can rely on.”
Auction Academy of North Carolina will offer both pre-licensing and continuing education (CE) courses through the new partnership, with course delivery available on-campus, via Zoom, and through Auction Academy’s self-paced online platform. Enrollment details and course schedules will be announced in the coming weeks.
The program is the latest step in Auction Academy of North Carolina’s mission to raise the standard of auctioneer education across the state, serving both new licensees and experienced professionals seeking continuing education credit.
